The Many Uses of Domino
Domino is a game that has a long history in Western cultures. It is similar to other dice games and can be played with many different sets of dominoes.
In the West, dominoes are most commonly used for positional games. In these games, each player places a domino edge to edge with another piece, in such a way that the adjacent faces are either identical (e.g., 5 to 5) or form some specified total.

Other sets can be as large as a double-18 set, which includes 190 tiles. These larger sets can be adapted to different game variations by adding or replacing certain pieces.
A popular variation is called the Draw Game, which involves fewer dominoes initially but adds one to each set when a player cannot place a domino. The player who cannot place a domino must pick a sleeping domino from the remaining set. Then, when the sleeping dominoes run out, that player may use the discarded domino to start their own set of dominoes.
Dominoes can also be used to play a variety of other games, such as solitaire or trick-taking games. These are often adaptations of card games.
For example, in a variant of Concentration, the goal is to place two identical tiles, or the same pair of matching tiles with no other tile between them. This is usually done with a double-six set, but can be played with other sets as well.
This is an excellent technique to teach children how to develop creative thinking skills, as well as how to work with precision. They can learn how to plan a project, how to visualize the end result, and how to take the appropriate steps to complete it.
